Sunday February 17 at The Lost Leaf BLACK AIR/OME is proud to present double bass improviser Kyle Motl and BA.ND_01 (BLACK AIR Non-Determined Ensemble Version 1.0) for an evening of avant-garde improvisational music.
Kyle Motl is a bassist, composer, and improviser based in southern California. Kyle regularly performs with the Peter Kuhn Trio, a number of collaborative projects, and his own trio. BLACK AIR Non-Determined Ensemble (BA.ND_01) features collaborative improvisational music created and/or arranged by Josh Bennett. Blending beat-driven styles with the avant-garde BA.ND_01 performs large group improvisations based on loose frameworks for a one-of-kind performance of original concepts and ideas.
The Lost Leaf can be found off of Roosevelt and 5th Street in downtown Phoenix. Free to the public but hey…buy a drink and tip your bartender.
